Hello! Thank you for visiting my page and for considering me for your mental health needs. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in DC and Virginia. Antiracist and identity-affirming practice is very important to me. I help clients navigate mood-related concerns (e.g., anxiety and depression), relationship issues, identity conflicts, and family of origin issues, among others. Seeking out mental health services requires courage and a desire to change. I try to honor this courage by working hard to be present, warm, and responsive every time we meet. Accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP) informs my work.
I specialize in individual and group therapy for adults and practice from an emotion-focused perspective. Men's mental health, and access for marginalized folks, including LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, and clients with chronic health conditions are areas of particular expertise. I have offered local and national trainings on anti-oppression work and psychotherapy with organizations like NAMI and the AEDP Institute. In addition to my private practice work, I am passionate about community and state board service. Feel free to reach out for a free initial phone consultation.

Getting Connected in Times of Crisis: IP Group
This Zoom-based online therapy group, led from an interpersonal process perspective, aims to create a warm, welcoming space in which to connect and recharge during difficult times. Members will support each other and will learn ways to develop deep, authentic relationships both in group and with loved ones outside of the group. Obstacles to connection like avoidance of vulnerability, past experiences of loss or trauma, and fears of judgment and criticism will be explored. ***Participants must be DC or Virginia residents who are physically in DC or VA during group sessions.***
