I am a Licensed professional counselor who has been practicing in the field for over 15yrs. My client population includes couples, adults suffering with Depression, Anxiety, Self-esteem, trauma focus concerns, women issues, ADD, Substance abuse, Oppositional defiant, Family Issues. I also provide clinical supervision as the board certifies for provisionally licensed counselors seeking supervision. My approach lays emphasizes on the client's resources of becoming self-aware; to resolve blocks to personal growth; allows for the client to determine the direction of therapy and puts the client (not the therapist) at the center of therapy.
Depending on the client and the situation, I do borrow perspectives and techniques from other well-established counseling theories listed. My practical views of therapy is as a journey of self-exploration by the client, meant to increase their level of self-understanding and self-awareness. My practice is VIDEO TELETHERAPY ENABLED AND READY.
The teletherapy platform provides a client a safe, supportive and comfortable space. I as therapist do not act as the self-appointed expert on the client's life, advising on what he/she should be thinking, feeling, and doing; but rather act as a guide of this journey, encouraging clients to own and operate an answer/solution through their own creation.
