I have worked with kids, teens, and young adults who are experiencing persistent pain and health conditions that disrupt their life for the past 11 years. I help people get back to what they want to be doing by teaching people how to overcome distressing physical symptoms, establish healthy routines (even sleep!), and teaching effective stress management. I tailor psychological science to you using humor, sarcasm, and direct, no-nonsense conversation.
I take a life-first approach, honing into personal values, and what they are missing out on, to create therapy goals. Sessions are focused on education- I work to help families understand WHY the body and brain are doing what they are doing, and HOW to get unstuck and back to living.
I have seen how dismissive medicine - and psychology- can be when it comes to pain and other physical health concerns. I am here to change that. I welcome skepticism and doubt and invite you to voice all of your concerns so that we can work together to reclaim your life. Try us out- 30 minute free consultation- to see how Peace Out Pain is different!
