I believe that one of the most important aspects of therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. I prioritize co-creating a space that is warm, non-judgmental, built on trust, and rooted in mutual respect. I primarily use the Internal Family Systems model (IFS) to identify the many parts that make up your whole and vibrant self, helping parts that carry extreme beliefs or traumatic memories unburden and begin to live more fully in the present. Using this approach along with mindfulness and expressive arts therapy, I work to support you in moving through that which is difficult and befriending all that makes you, you.
As a social worker, I also understand that environment and larger systems play a role in an individual’s mental health, and I value each person I work with as an expert in their own experience. I am trans/queer affirming, trauma informed, sex-positive, and pro-SW.
Getting started can be difficult, but I'm here to work through that together. Through talk therapy, mindfulness, creativity, and body awareness, I will work with you to identify your barriers as well as your unique strengths to living a more full and connected life.
