I believe that ignoring your heart is as dangerous as following your heart. I instead seek to help you understand what's happening in your heart, so you can explore your inner world and respond out of a place of self-awareness and growth.

My skills are with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and loss, to include, loss of employment, miscarriage or loss of a child, and post-partem depression . I am a retired Army Officer and welcome soldiers who are on active duty or transitioning back to civilian life. Clients often experience relief after a few sessions.

I value the counseling setting as a place to discuss all thoughts and feelings freely and without fear of judgment so that new associations can be made, and emotional isolation can be replaced with connection. When we understand and accept ourselves, growth and healing can occur! I create a safe space where individuals can first understand how their personal experiences have impacted their lives and then collaborate with clients in order to establish authentic insights that will shape their stories moving forward.

Play is the place where children’s minds, hearts, and souls meet. Through Play Therapy, children are able to heal from distressing events such as, but not limited to, trauma, grief and loss, divorce, depression, adoption, foster care and attachment issues; and to improve in myriad areas such as impulse control, emotional regulation, ADHD, OCD, and ODD. As your child’s therapist, my goal is to enable children to heal, so that they are empowered to “rise and shine” to their highest potential.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Professional with 20+ years working with children, adolescents, and adults who have suffered some type of trauma in their lives.
