For the past 25 years, I have worked with individuals with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sleep difficulties, troubled relationships, marital distress, chronic illness, and life transitions. My practice currently focuses on working with clients who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders. I also see patients with cancer across the cancer continuum, from diagnosis, treatment, to survivorship or recurrence and end of life. I am passionate about working with both of these patient groups.
I will work with you in a collaborative, non-judgmental manner to understand your existing beliefs, thoughts and behaviors and then strive to help you reach your goals. I respect your personal hopes regarding what you would like therapy to be. I work with all ages, gender, ethnicity and orientation.
I use an eclectic and integrative approach, pulling from different schools of thought. This includes cognitive-behavioral, which focuses on changing behavior and thought patterns; dynamic, to examine the roots of the thoughts or behavior; and experiential therapy, which uses the session to explore the feelings associated with situations or relationships.
