I believe all clients are ideal but I learned early in my social work training, that therapy is also a relationship, as well as therapy. Any issue with respect, empathy, maturity, open-mindedness, and most importantly, truthfully, is most important. Without this treatment will be ineffective.

We have all been tested by a global pandemic. You may have found yourself using unhealthy ways to cope to manage increased stress and anxiety (overeating, having an extra glass of wine, arguing with family members, throwing yourself into work, worrying, isolating yourself). When things go wrong (divorce, job stress/loss, medical challenges, financial pressures, death of loved ones) many people become self-critical, negative, and avoidant. The way we navigate these challenging times can determine whether we build inner strength and gain wisdom or bear the consequences of unrelenting standards, self-criticism and disconnection.
