I primarily work with teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, and perfectionism who are looking to gain confidence and reduce rigid thinking. I often find that this population struggles with being present due to second-guessing their performance or constantly feeling anxious about the next task. In some cases, this can even lead to unhealthy coping skills. They want to be able to learn how to have more flexible thinking, self-compassion, and healthy coping skills. I also enjoy working with clients who are going through difficult life transitions in addition to grief.
I take a person-centered approach with clients because I believe that change can occur when a validating and supportive relationship is at the core. I have also received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and often use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to provide clients with important skills to challenge thoughts and improve confidence.
