I work well with mood problems, anxiety, substance use problems and trauma. I also enjoy helping clients who are struggling with low self-esteem, codependent relationships, and those uncertain about their purpose or direction in life. I specialize in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I rely heavily on strengths-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. I also draw on techniques to help clients understand themselves on a deeper level, find meaning in life and break through self-defeating patterns.
My approach to treatment is: within the relationship, therapy happens. I believe in meeting my patients precisely where they are at, and providing them with a safe trusting space to come where they are unconditionally accepted, just as they are, in the absence of any judgment. I believe in normalizing the human experience and healing through connection.
