Are you anxious, overwhelmed or overthinking? Recent and past traumas cause flight or fright responses, flashbacks and avoidance of situations. We can support your brain's adaptive ability to heal from emotional pain. I will provide evidence-based interventions for you to create meaningful change. You'll manage distressing feelings, challenge negative beliefs and stop self-defeating behaviors. I've been a therapist for 25+ years, certified in EMDR and was trained in 1999 by Dr. Francine Shapiro who developed this accelerated therapy. I also use effective techniques from Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior “talk therapies”.
I’ll guide you through the process of uncovering your strengths in a warm, nonjudgemental space. We'll use effective strategies to help you change unwanted thoughts, soothe overwhelming emotions and have healthier boundaries. It's possible to manage Anxiety, PTSD and stress to improve your life. I offer 50-90 minute sessions of DBT, CBT or EMDR.
