I believe that every client has the tools and knowledge necessary to improve their lives. This knowledge becomes hidden by the stress and responsibilities we face on a daily basis. My role as a therapist is to help you uncover those tools in order for you to live a more fulfilling life. If your family is facing a difficult challenge, if you need a different perspective on a situation, or if you are at a loss of what to do with your teen's behavior, I would be honored to help you throughout the process of positive change.

We use a variety of techniques that are tailored to meet the needs of our clients with a special interest in self esteem/self worth issues, codependency, NPD & unconscious programming. Some individuals are unaware of limiting thoughts, beliefs & memories and stay stuck. Trapped trauma and unconscious programming plays a major role in mental & physical health problems as well as interpersonal relationships. In addition to psychotherapy we offer a unique & transformational experience called Zerobody Dry Flotation to aid and accelerate the healing process and to re program unconscious programming (one's blueprint of self and life).

I hold an abiding belief that no matter how difficult a person's circumstances may be, it is possible to produce meaningful change. I walk with my client on a unique journey towards self-enhancement, wellness and goal attainment. My theoretical basis takes into consideration the developmental stage of not only the individual but the family as well. In this effort, we explore the emotional and psychological demands of individuation and adaptive coping development. Ultimately, my job is to work myself out of a job, so that you can feel self-assured to carry on without my intervention.

I understand that therapy can be a rewarding and life-changing experience, but can be scary to take that initial step. I believe counseling is a space to allow individuals to learn more about themselves and for growth, so I will approach sessions with respect, compassion and will honor your willingness to vulnerability. I realize that your involvement is essential in therapy, but I will try to create an atmosphere for mutually agreed goals and decisions in treatment. Healing should not be rushed, so my goal is to be there with you every step of the way and allow as much time as you need to overcome and achieve your goals.

Do you struggle with PTSD, an eating disorder or infertility? Is this interfering with your relationships and day-to-day life? Do you feel exhausted just getting through the day, or worried by the thought “there’s no light at the end of the tunnel”? Do you hope that you could be more present with your loved one? Now more than ever, people are feeling betrayed by their body as they work on healing from abuse, infertility or an eating disorder. We believe it’s possible to find peace and feel whole.

School just started and your teen is already struggling. They are anxious and depressed lack motivation, and cannot maintain focus. Your child is intelligent but under-performs in school. They might have suicidal thoughts, be self-harming, and turned to the internet, alcohol or drugs to cope. But, they won't talk to you about what is happening and you are concerned. If this sounds like your child's situation, I can help. I understand ADHD personally and professionally, More importantly, I speak TikTok, have tattoos, wear Vans, and listen to alternative music. I connect very well with adolescents and they open up to me.

It seems like everyone around you is smiling and enjoying life. How do they do it? They look so confident and carefree, while even the smallest task feels insurmountable to you. Just going about daily life is like climbing a mountain, yet never reaching the top. The moment your eyes open, anxiety and depression greet you, stalking you throughout the day. Your mind is full of criticism and self-doubt. Yet you keep your pain a secret, because you're mortified and ashamed. Besides, your life is no worse than anyone else’s, right? Would they believe you’re suffering -- or blame you for feeling so bad? Maybe you even blame yourself...

If you’ve ever thought, “I’m just not sure what to do anymore. I’m overwhelmed, and I think I could use some help, " I believe this is one of the most powerful realizations we can have. And to act on that realization takes courage and strength. From my own experiences of grief, losses, and various changes throughout my life, I am familiar with how challenging it can be to reach out to others when in need. That is why, as a counselor, I am honored to walk with each client. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023. I'm an LPC - Associate supervised by Cortnee Wright, M.A., LPC-S.

Before you read on, take a moment to breathe. Inhale slowly, breathing in through your nose, filling your chest with air. Notice your chest rise, expanding until it feels tight. Now hold that breath; hold it for just a few beats… And release. Release all that air in one long slow breath out through your mouth. Notice your shoulders droop and your mind clear, ever so slightly. This might the first full breath you’ve taken in a long time. And it’s no wonder why: life can overwhelm us with so much worry, anger, doubt, shame, and sadness that we feel breathless.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
