My clients tend to have various life challenges. These can range from stress, anxiety, depression and suicidality to loss/grief, life transitions, coping with chronic diagnosis, couples counselling, career counselling and more. The need tends to be to address the challenges, promote self-discovery and mental health, find a collaborative support structure and to find ways of developing tools that will assist them beyond the counselling space. In the end counselling is about trying to find a way to reshape your life/approach/perspective to something that better fits who you are as a person and to gain a sense of personal well-being.
I offer a understanding, supportive and collaborative space. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach. I tend to prefer a scaffolding approach where we work on developing the needed tools and coping mechanisms to delve further into your current challenge. This allows for you to feel more comfortable and capable of facing the challenge and daily life.
