Sometimes the demands of life can become overwhelming, and we could do with kind heart to journey alongside us as we explore a life of more meaning, purpose and joy. Whilst life is challenging, and hurtful things happen, often not of our choosing, resulting in trauma, grief and distress, I believe that through this we can grow and heal. At times, we need someone to really listen to our story and other times; we need to be guided to acquire skills to help us navigate distress, difficult relationships and overwhelming emotions.
My therapy and personal development approach is person-centred, often combining logotherapy, EFT and DBT. I do this casually, intuitively, and holistically using traditional and innovative therapeutic methods. I like to include experiential therapeutic approaches involving nature and animals, especially dogs and horses. A dog or cat is often in session.
Despite living in a world that acknowledges mental health in well-being, it is still daunting to choose to go to therapy. I believe that we all can flourish through transcending life's difficulties in search of meaning.
