Apple iPhone 16: free with a plan, plus free iPad at Verizon
Verizon's current promotion on the iPhone 16 is a return of the best we've seen from the carrier. No trade-ins are currently needed at all to get the standard iPhone 16 for free alongside a new line on an Ultimate Unlimited plan and you can also throw in a free iPad as long as you're willing to pay the $10/mo extra for an accessory cellular line. Overall, a superb deal if you're interested in the standard iPhone 16 deal specifically. If you'd prefer the premium devices, then we'd recommend trading in to get up to $1,000 off the iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max at this carrier since that's enough to cover the entire cost of the Pro. Other excellent iPhone deals on the latest series also include AT&T's trade-in rebates of up to $1,000 and Apple's own $650 trade-in rebate, which is the only choice for unlocked devices right now, unfortunately.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max: free with a new line at Verizon
Don't sleep on this iPhone 15 Pro Max deal at Verizon. Yes, it may be on a slightly older device, but you can currently get the 15 Pro Max for free alongside a new line on either a Plus or Ultimate unlimited plan. That's a $1,099 saving and one that's also eligible on the slightly cheaper Plus plan - as opposed to only on the extremely pricey Ultimate plan. Generally speaking, I'd say this is an even better iPhone deal that the ones outlined above on the iPhone 16 series, although I get that people generally want to get their hands on the latest and greatest devices.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro: device plus unlimited plan for $65/mo at Boost Mobile
Boost Mobile's Infinite Access for iPhone plan is so, so strong if you're looking for the cheapest possible way to bag one of the latest devices without a trade-in. This plan allows you to bundle in a new iPhone 16 Pro right now alongside an unlimited data plan for just $65/mo and get a free device upgrade when the time comes. The caveat here is that Boost's unlimited data plan isn't quite as speedy as some of those found at the major carriers and is slightly more limited in terms of perks and 5G data allowance. For $65/mo though? This is super cheap.

Now the iPhone 16 has officially arrived, the older models have received a healthy upfront discount at Apple. For my money, the iPhone 14 is an absolute steal at its new retail price of just $599 upfront. Yes, it's a little older now but it's still an absolutely solid phone that performs well across a wide range of applications. It's still officially supported too - and is available with a decent trade-in rebate just like all the other iPhones at Apple right now.

Apple iPhone SE 2022 (unlocked): $429, plus up to $650 off with a trade-in at Apple
Looking for a cheap iPhone deal? Here's what we recommend. Firstly, either buy the iPhone SE 2022 outright at Apple itself or trade-in for an additional discount on this excellent budget iOS device. Secondly, we'd recommend pairing up your device with one of the best prepaid plans on the market. We'd particularly recommend Mint Mobile or Visible as great options thanks to their super cheap plans ranging from $15 to $45 per month on average currently. While you'll have to pay quite a bit for your device upfront here, this is a good route if you're aiming to save as much cash in the long run - and you won't be tied down for a two or three-year plan at a major carrier.

Apple iPhone SE 2022: $379.99 $179.99 with a plan at Straight Talk
What makes the perfect pairing with a cheap prepaid plan? It's the affordable (but extremely capable) iPhone SE 2022. Right now, one of the best options is over at the carrier Straight Talk, which is offering the device for just $179 upfront when you bring your number over from a carrier. Straight Talk has plans for as little as $35 per month so it's a fantastic choice if you want to keep those bills as low as possible. Note that another great alternative to this Straight Talk deal is iPhone SE 2022 at Total By Verizon for $99. By comparison, Total has slightly higher-priced plans - but some may prefer to be on the Verizon network for coverage reasons.
