Mandya is one of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka, India. Situated in the Cauvery heartland, the seat is made up of 8 Assembly constituencies. Seven of these Assembly segments are in Mandya district, which is also known as the Sugar City because sugarcane is a major crop grown here. The LS seat is a bastion of the Janata Dal (Secular) and the BJP has never won any election from here.
