Hyderabad Lok Sabha Constituency

A major part of Hyderabad city lies in the constituency. The seven Assembly constituencies are referred to as the old city of Hyderabad. Historic sites such as Charminar, Golconda Fort, Qutb Shahi Tombs are located here. Besides, the city is prominent for its culinary heritage: legacy food establishments and shopping markets draw people from across the city and beyond.The constituency has been the stronghold of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). The party has been consistently winning the seat from the year 1989. MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi made his debut as a MP by winning the Hyderabad parliament seat in 2004 and did not look back from then on.This time, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded a newcomer, K. Madhavi Latha, who will be contesting against Mr. Owaisi. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) fielded Gaddam Srinivas Yadav and Congress named Mohd. Sameer Waliullah as its candidate for the constituency.
