Andaman and Nicobar Islands election results 2024 Highlights: BJP wins sole Lok Sabha seat

The BJP won the lone Lok Sabha seat in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Tuesday, with its candidate Bishnu Pada Ray emerging victorious by a margin of 24,087 votes over Congress nominee Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Election Commission said.

Ray secured 1,01,919 votes, while Sharma polled 77,832 votes.

The Andaman Nicobar Democratic Congress candidate Manoj Paul stood third with 8,239 votes, the poll panel said.

BJP’s Bishnu Pada Ray polled 1,01,919 votes gaining a lead of 24,087 against Congress’s Kuldeep Rai Sharma who polled 77,832, as per the latest information from ECI.

BJP’s Bishnu Pada Ray polled 98,400 votes gaining a lead of 28,790 against Congress’s Kuldeep Rai Sharma who polled 69,430.

With 67,882 votes, BJP’s Bishnu Pada Ray gained a lead of 26,749 votes in Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lok Sabha constituency against Congress’s Kuldeep Rai Sharma who polled 41,073 votes.

BJP’s Bishnu Pada Ray polled 35,109 votes gaining a lead of 19,220 against Congress’s Kuldeep Rai Sharma who polled 15,889 votes.

The lead gained by BJP’s Bishnu Pada Ray continues to increase. With 22,858 votes polled, he leads by 13,200 votes over Congress’ Kuldeep Rai Sharma (9,658)

As per the latest information, BJP’s Bishnu Pada Ray is leading in Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lok Sabha constituency. While he polled 15,498 votes, Congress’s Kuldeep Rai Sharma polled 5,377.

After the first round of counting, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliament constituency.
