All major exit polls published after the seventh and the last phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls ended, predicted a third term for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
The polls indicated that the NDA may end up winning close to 350 seats. On the other hand, the INDIA bloc is projected to win about 150 seats. Parties that are not attached to either side, including the Biju Janata Dal and the Trinamool Congress, may end up securing the rest of the 40-odd seats.

The results for the Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim Assembly polls will be announced on June 2 and votes for the Lok Sabha polls and other Assemblies will be counted on June 4.
Mr. Modi exuded confidence that people have voted in record numbers to re-elect the NDA government and said the “opportunistic INDI Alliance” failed to strike a chord with the voters who rejected their “regressive politics”.
Leaders of several INDIA bloc parties met and took stock of the Opposition’s preparations leading up to the June 4 counting of votes, and asserted they will get more than 295 seats, enough for them to form the next government.

Addressing the media after two-and-a-half-hour confabulations at his residence, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the INDIA bloc has arrived at the 295-plus figure after feedback from people, which he termed “people’s survey”.
Congress also claimed that the exit polls had been “orchestrated” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said these are all psychological games he is masterminding but the actual results will be very different.
Meanwhile, a voter turnout of 58.34% was recorded on June 1 in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha polls with incidents of violence between TMC and BJP supporters reported in Sandeshkhali region of West Bengal, and complaints of EVM glitches and rigging at some booths lodged.
