BIG NEWS, to stem the tide of new infections and protect individuals most at risk of contracting HIV, Gilead Sciences has taken a huge step towards increasing global access to HIV prevention with the signing of royalty – free voluntary licensing with six generic manufactures in low-income countries. The Aids Foundation of SA through its People with Disabilities program by (PWD) visited the Hands of Hope special school and donated office materials, supported painting of classrooms and planting of vegetable seedlings. This Women’s Month, our AFSA team came together to celebrate health, wellness, and the rights of women in our community. The event was a resounding success, raising awareness about gender equality, human rights, and the empowerment of women, with a special focus on reducing human rights violations against people living with HIV (PLHIV). The Ukusekela project under the Aids Foundation of South Africa visited the Tongaat community to donate food packs and care packs as part of our relief contribution after the Tornado that devastated the community and its surrounding areas.
