On Saturday 20 April 2024, hundreds of advocates for children will march from Beyers Naude Square in Marshalltown to Constitution Hill, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, calling on political parties to recognise the importance of ECD in shaping our nation's future.📢 We [Real Reform for ECD] will stop at political houses along the way to handover our #ECDManifesto and ensure that they hear us when we say: a party for the children is a party for the future! This is not a march for just the ECD sector - it is an opportunity for everyone in South Africa to stand up for young children and the future of our country. Caring for young children is one of the most powerful investments South Africa can make. But for too long, the government has neglected young children, and the parents, caregivers and ECD practitioners who nurture them. RSVP here to join the #ECDManifesto March on 20 April 2024: https://lnkd.in/dWVD5bdq

What’s driving hunger in the country? Join Palesa Ramolefo, a campaigner at amandla.mobi, as she moderates a conversation on who needs to be held accountable for the hunger crisis and, most importantly, what we should do about it. #SeizeThePower #townhall #StandUp4HumanRights #humanrightsfestival #30yearsofdemocracy #ilovegauteng
