I recently spent a week in Kigali, reviewing a leadership program. While there, I visited the peaceful Nyandungu Eco-Park, and the walks reminded me of the importance of balance and self-care. Just like the park brings fresh air to the city, we need moments to step back, reconnect, and reset amidst life’s hustle. Over the past year, I’ve committed to prioritising self-care—through therapy, meditation, exercise, and quality time with loved ones. To maintain this balance, I’ve built self-care into my schedule by, for example, writing these reflections here as part of my weekly reflection and holding myself publicly accountable for this ongoing work of well-being at work and in life. As Kigali grows, so do we. Let’s deepen our self-care practices and lead healthier lives. Growth is ongoing—Aluta continua! #NyandunguEcoPark #WorkLifeBalance #SelfCareJourney #LeadershipGrowth

Today, we kick off our 2024 Annual SIOPSA Conference, taking place in-person from 16-19 July 2024 at The Wanderers Club in Johannesburg and from 18-19 July 2024 online via Whova. The conference will commence with a Pre-Conference Workshop on Industrial Psychology and Mental Health today, 16 July 2024. We are also starting our conference week with a meet and greet session today at 16:15, allowing us to network with peers and experts.
