Eighty years brimming with experiences, cherished memories, and an enduring passion that has inspired us all. Today, we not only celebrate his birthday but also honor the remarkable achievements and contributions he has made. Happy Birthday Niels Aage Kjær #milestones #celebration #memories #avk
💪 AVK Holding A/S

Celebrating and honoring a man achieving incredible milestones. #80yearsofexcellence #leadership #innovation
𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟖𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 🎉💙 On Friday we celebrate Niels Aage Kjær’s 80th birthday and his incredible journey as a visionary leader. From humble beginnings in Galten, Denmark, where he was born in 1944, Niels Aage transformed his father’s small machine shop into a global group with more than 5,000 employees and over 100 companies worldwide. Taking over the family business in 1970 at just 25 following the sudden passing of his father, Niels Aage introduced the first AVK valve and built the company’s first factory. This marked the beginning of AVK’s transformation into a company synonymous with quality, innovation, and sustainability. With his relentless drive, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership, he turned the local machine shop into a global leader with a turnover of nearly DKK 8 billion (2022/23). Niels Aage’s leadership has earned him prestigious awards like the Order of Dannebrog (2010) and EY Entrepreneur of the Year (2023). Reflecting on his journey, he says: "𝑆𝑢𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑡 𝑜𝑛 𝑑𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑚𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎 𝑐𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑠𝑒𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑒𝑠. 𝐴𝑡 𝐴𝑉𝐾, 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑒𝑠 – 𝑞𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑠𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑟 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑐𝑒 – ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑔𝑢𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑢𝑠 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑦." After more than 53 years as CEO for the AVK Group Niels Aage decided to retire from his Executive Director role in October 2023, and stepped up as Chairman of the AVK Holding Board, ensuring his vision continues to guide the company. Beyond the boardroom, Niels Aage is deeply committed to environmental matters, collaborating with WWF on plastic waste and recycling initiatives. His love for art and culture is reflected in AVK’s support of numerous artistic initiatives. As we celebrate Niels Aage Kjær’s 80th birthday, we honour not just a remarkable businessman but a visionary who has left an indelible mark on the global stage. Thank you, Niels Aage, for your vision and dedication. Here’s to a remarkable life and enduring impact 💙🎉 Read more about Niels Aage’s incredible journey here: https://lnkd.in/daWRSdeH #Leadership #Innovation #AVKgroup #ExpectAVK #Legacy #Entrepreneurship

While control valves are integral to many industries, their role in the water segment is particularly vital for maintaining the efficiency, safety, and reliability of water distribution and treatment systems. They ensure that water resources are managed effectively, contributing to sustainable water management practices. Their key applications include: Flow Control: They regulate the water flow to maintain desired levels in reservoirs, tanks, and pipelines, ensuring the stability and efficiency of water distribution systems. Pressure Management: Control valves help maintain optimal pressure within water distribution networks, preventing pipe bursts and ensuring consistent water supply. Level Control: In water treatment plants, control valves manage water levels in various stages of the treatment process, ensuring that each phase operates correctly. Leakage Reduction: By maintaining precise control over flow and pressure, control valves help minimize water loss due to leaks, enhancing the overall efficiency of water systems. Pump Protection: They safeguard pumps by preventing conditions such as deadheading and cavitation, which can cause significant damage. The primary materials for membranes are polymeric and ceramic. Polymeric membranes, made from materials like polyethersulfone and PVDF, are favored for their cost-effectiveness and ease of processing. In contrast, ceramic membranes, composed of materials such as aluminum oxide and silicon carbide, offer superior chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and longer service life but at a higher manufacturing cost. The global membranes market is projected to reach USD 11.1 billion by 2029, growing at 8.6% cagr from 2024 to 2029. ⚡️Composite Membranes Recent advancements have led to the development of ceramic-polymer composite membranes, which combine the benefits of both materials. These composites enhance performance by improving fouling resistance while maintaining lower production costs compared to pure ceramics. ⚡️Membrane Technologies Membrane technologies can be categorized based on pore size and separation mechanisms: ►Microfiltration (MF): Utilizes membranes with pore sizes typically ranging from 0.1 to 10 micrometers. It effectively removes bacteria and suspended solids. ►Ultrafiltration (UF): Operates with smaller pores (0.01 to 0.1 micrometers), allowing the removal of viruses and larger organic molecules. ►Nanofiltration (NF): Features even smaller pores (1 nanometer to 0.01 micrometers), suitable for removing divalent ions and larger organic compounds while allowing monovalent ions to pass. ►Reverse Osmosis (RO): Employs dense membranes that require high pressure (up to 60 bar) to remove nearly all dissolved substances, including salts and small organic molecules. . ⚡️Applications 🔹Water & Wastewater Treatment Membrane technologies play a crucial role in purifying drinking water and treating wastewater. They effectively remove contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, and organic pollutants without the need for additional chemicals. This makes them particularly valuable in regions facing water scarcity or stringent regulatory standards. 🔹Industrial Processing In industrial settings, membranes are used for various purposes including: ►Separation processes in food and beverage industries ►Recovery of valuable materials in petrochemical applications ►Treatment of process water to meet environmental regulations #membranetechnology #membrane #watertreatment #microfiltration #wastewatertreatment #membranefiltration #desalination #romembranes #ufmembranes #waterpurification #biomimeticmembranes #nanofiltration #zeroliquiddischarge #reverseosmosis #ultrafiltration
