𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐀𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐊𝐣æ𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 '𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐠𝐲𝐩𝐭' 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 💦 During a visit to Egypt last week, Niels Aage Kjær took the time and opportunity to visit the project site for the ‘Future of Egypt’ project where AVK recently completed the delivery of 𝟮𝟰𝟱 𝗻𝗼𝘀. 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀. During the visit Niels Aage Kjær met General Wael Ibrahim, who is overall responsible for the project under the Egyptian Army, Water Department. General Wael Ibrahim explained about the project, which, once completed and fully operational will be one of the largest irrigation projects in the world and deliver more than 10 million cubic meters of water to the New Delta Northwest of Cairo in Egypt. He also explained that AVK was selected due to our high 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 and 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 in delivery – all in-line with AVK’s Core Values. 📷 Mahmoud El Fransawy and Seif Gohary from Ecom, AVK’s agent in Egypt, representatives from AVK GULF in Dubai and AVK Egypt joined Niels Aage Kjær for the visit. 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝟐𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥: 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐢 💙💧 Clean drinking water now flows out of the completed 27-metre-high water tower in Madi. The sustainable water supply, which is primarily powered by solar energy, ensures users in the area access to clean water 24-7. And finally, the day came for the inauguration of Hamro Paani and the handover of the water supply to Madi Municipality. On Saturday the historic event with the inauguration of Hamro Paani/Water2Nepal – a future-proof and sustainable water supply in Madi was marked. The association Jysk landsbyudvikling i Nepal is the initiator of the project and at the official opening, Chairman Lone Petersen was among the speakers. After the official opening and speeches, engineer Surya Prajapati from Envidan A/S lead the guests on a tour, where he talked about the drilling, the pipeline network and the pump system. Madi Municipality now have a modern, solar-powered water supply for 800 households – equipped with intelligent water meters and with such low operating costs that all families are able to pay for the clean drinking water. Sustainable operations require joint efforts – it has been great to be a part of this project 🙌 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝟮𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗼𝗳-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 that aims to improve the standard of living in Nepal through an innovative partnership involving Jysk landsbyudvikling i Nepal, Envidan Denmark A/S, Grundfos Foundation | PDJF, Kamstrup, AVK, Kathmandu University, Madi Municipality and local organisations. This upgrade ensures improved efficiency and long-term reliability for the hydro power plant. A big thank you to the LHPC team and their consultant for the excellent collaboration.
