The result is job losses, declining investments in local production, and a loss of government revenue that should be reinvested in infrastructure and economic development. But this is not an “us versus them” issue it’s about all of us. It’s about the future we are building together. When we allow illegal trade to thrive, we weaken the very foundation of our economy. Conversely, when we support locally produced goods and services, we invest in our collective prosperity. Every locally made product purchased helps create jobs, strengthen industries, and ensure that tax revenues contribute to better roads, schools, and healthcare.
