Enza Construction is proud to announce that the Dube Trade Port Project is nearing its final stages, with over 92% of the work completed and the project is on track for handover by April 2025. As we approach the finish line, our dedicated team on the project, is focused on the final touches that will bring this landmark development to life. The external façade is nearly complete, with only the East Façade awaiting the installation of signage. The scaffolding has been removed from the rest of the building, marking a significant milestone in the exterior works.   Internally, the 5th floor is completed and floors 6 through to 8 are scheduled for completion by the end of March 2025. The lifts have been installed, and final finishes and commissioning are underway.    Despite some challenges posed by unpredictable weather, Enza Construction remains focused on delivering this state-of-the-art development on schedule which we estimate to be mid-April 2025, fulfilling our commitment to quality and excellence in construction. Enza Construction, in collaboration with the Master Builders Association North (MBA North), recently hosted a highly successful Health and Safety workshop for local contractors. The workshop addressed key industry topics, including legal responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, injury statistics and the importance of accurate reporting to prevent claim rejections. As a company committed to promoting safety and excellence, Enza Construction continues to lead by example in prioritising safety of all personnel on site. By partnering with MBA North, we were able to bring together 31 local delegates to discuss vital safety regulations and best practices. We are pleased to share our latest progress on the Howard College Student Accommodation project, located on the scenic hills of Mazisi Kunene and Lamont Road, Glenwood. This development is set to provide modern, state-of-the-art housing for approximately 2,237 students of the UKZN Howard Campus. The new accommodation will feature a variety of impressive amenities, including a rooftop astro turf and a braai area, offering students a comfortable and vibrant living experience. The building will showcase contemporary design elements with a Class 1 finish to concrete and face brick work, elevating both the aesthetic and functional qualities of the space. At Enza Construction, we pride ourselves on creating innovative, high-quality spaces that go beyond just meeting expectations; we aim to enhance the lives of those who interact with them. This project is another example of our commitment to excellence and attention to detail. To facilitate the construction of this 13-storey building, three tower cranes are in place, ensuring smooth material transfer throughout the project. To date, we have made great strides with over 1,100m³ of concrete poured and 125 tons of rebar installed. We had an amazing and insightful day at the MDA #CollectiveWisdom Conference yesterday! A big thank you to our external speakers, Vilochanee Naidoo from CIPS and Crystal Huntley from Nedbank, for sharing their valuable insights and to our panelists, Conrad Stark, Clinton Crowie, Russell Crawford and Berto Smit for an engaging discussion on the current opportunities and challenges within the South African #construction sector. The purpose of this conference has always been to utilise shared collective knowledge, to cultivate growth and elevate the construction industry and we hope we delivered.
