On Thursday, October 31, we hosted a significant event at the Wells Estate, Shoprite Distribution Centre, marking a major milestone in the development of this state-of-the-art facility. The roof wetting ceremony was attended by approximately 100 key consultants and stakeholders, who came together to celebrate the outstanding efforts of all parties involved in this project. Originally constructed in 2012 with an initial area of 9,000m², this distribution centre has undergone a remarkable transformation through a strategic partnership with our tenant, Shoprite. Today, it boasts a total rentable area exceeding 95,000m², with a total development cost of over R1.3 billion. With record-low vacancies and strong financial metrics, our property fund is performing exceptionally well, reflecting our strategic focus and operational excellence.     "Equites’ portfolio fundamentals are exceedingly robust. The R28.3bn portfolio is fully let with a Weighted Average Lease Expiry (Wale) of 13.2 years, 99% of rental income derived from A-grade tenants and robust escalation clauses.
