As you plan for 2025, FI Consult is filling two coaching circles that offer immense value, to all participants, at a pricing point that makes them a no-brainer. 1. Advisor Dojo - a training ground for financial advisors wishing to grow their clients and their income. 2. Business Management Mastermind - a regular meet-up for anyone leading or involved in business operations. Both groups have participants from multiple businesses, so the learnings are exponential, as we think expansively and solve problems. Exclusive groups are available as well, along with some Ts&Cs.

In his column aimed at #financialadvisers, FI Consult's David Kop CFP® shows how much of today’s strategic thinking draws from military foundations and explains how to apply these principles effectively to #advisory firms. 'By moving away from rigid planning toward a central big idea, organisations can navigate uncertainties with confidence.' Have you adopted a more flexible approach to your business strategy? #businessstrategy #strategyplanning #financialservices #financialplanning

Although we believe that we are somewhat expert in working with advisors, and advice businesses, around prospecting and new business development, we thought it prudent to have a [loose] agenda for tomorrow's free webinar, and here it is (loosely!): Why prospecting is hard You and prospecting What gets in the way At least 10 prospecting picks for the day What not to do What next? We're going to include whats and hows and allow for Qs and As. Register here: https://lnkd.in/d9BjcNWy

It is interesting to see that the dominant reason for moving to an "alternate" fee model is to provide services to the market that cannot be serviced by an AUM model. If you are charging clients directly, we are curious to see what prompted you to implement a direct-to-client fee model, comment below.

Interesting data from Bob Veres recent Advisor Fee Study. Consistent with what we see in our Kitces data as well. The growth of "alternative" (i.e., non-AUM) fee models is NOT primarily about competing with AUM clients by offering flat fees (though some do). It's mostly about having a way to charge that makes it feasible to work with non-AUM clients (e.g., higher income but limited assets, business owners who aren't liquid, etc.). #Advicers what's been your experience with non-AUM fees?

For five years, the Insane Prospecting brand has been about helping financial advisors build the capacity to prospect, rather than simply offering them solutions that they are unlikely to ever implement. That being said, in module 2 of the online course, we offer 101 prospecting strategies, just to get that 'out the way' and focus on what really matters: who you are and how you show up in front of potential clients. This list is, and has only ever, been available to those that buy the course and those that attend bootcamps. At our free prospecting webinar on Thursday, we are going to do the opposite: we are going to talk DOING instead of BEING, which means that we'll share actual, practical strategies - aka ideas - that can be implemented right away. We'll pick from a total of more than 170 that we have developed over time, across at least 15 categories. We'll see which land well; we'll drop in on some, and deep dive them, so participants can ask all the questions they want and hopefully put themselves in a position where they can take action that same day. Although the webinar is focused on advisors developing new business, we are also in the design phase of Prospecting for Advice Businesses, so attendees are welcome to ask about prospecting from a business perspective. If you are not yet registered for the webinar, please click on the below link. Again, it's free, so please join us and let's see how we can help you take your business to the next level. https://lnkd.in/d9BjcNWy

Those that entered the FPI's Financial Planner of the Year competition, whether they made it to the final rounds or not, will tell you that it was an incredible experience. They learned so much and they streamlined their business to make it more efficient. In both our strategy and operations conversations, we often talk about "building the business to sell it". Not that our clients want to, or intend to sell, but if they were to put a price tag on the business, they would have to make is saleable. That means improving systems and processes so that, if one day it were to be sold, the transfer of ownership would be seamless. In the meantime, the actions taken to improve efficiencies would have several ancillary benefits, including growth and profit. Ultimately, as a result of the exercise, owners / shareholders / directors would be able to fetch a higher price and would be presented with more long term choices. What a great position to be in. But it starts now, with looking at the business and seeking to improve it.

Most Business are doing this 🙄 And I can't understand why. Too many businesses spread themselves thin across every platform: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube All without having a clear plan. And they wonder why they’re not seeing results. 🤷♀️ Listen up. It’s not about being everywhere; it’s about being effective. Think about this for a second: You wouldn’t invest in 10 different stocks without researching and understanding each one, right? So why do that with your marketing channels? Stop the madness 👀 1) Start with one channel. Test it. Refine it. Get consistent results there before even thinking about adding more. Russel Brunson says: "𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 $1𝘔 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘭 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘴." And he couldn't be more right. 2) Let the data guide you. Track everything. Engagement, clicks, conversions. If one channel isn’t moving the needle, ask yourself: What's the goal here? If you don't have an answer, there's the 1st problem. Establish your goals. Get specific. 3) Prioritise quality over quantity. It’s better to dominate 1-2 channels with strong, clear messaging than to post mediocre content across 5+ platforms. Less noise, more intentional impact. 4) Scale with purpose. When you add a new channel, make sure it complements the ones already working for you. Every new platform should build on what you’ve already got. _________________________ 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: this is where most companies go wrong. _________________________ 5) Know when to pull the plug. Just because a channel and the way you were doing things worked last year, doesn’t mean it’s still valuable today. → Look at your offer → Analyse your hooks → Refresh your creatives _________________________ 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: not enough companies are trimming the fat. _________________________ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: The goal isn’t to be on all channels. It’s to be on the 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 ones. So before you launch your next campaign across every platform under the sun, ask yourself: Is this channel moving us toward our goals, or just making us feel “busy”? The answer could change the way you approach your entire #marketingstrategy _________________________ 📸 Lion's Head, Cape Town 🤷♀️ Still rocking that UK tan! 😂 🔔 Follow me Cassandra Crwys-Williams for more #LeadGeneration tips
