The South Asian Women in Technology (SAWiT) Learnathon, powered by GUVI Geek Networks, IITM Research Park and supported by the UP government, has made history! With 46,000 women across India and abroad participating, this remarkable initiative has set a Guinness World Record for the highest attendance in an online training session for Generative AI and Python.
On the 21st of September, women from diverse backgrounds came together to earn certifications in the field of AI. This milestone highlights the powerful shift towards inclusivity in tech, where women are at the forefront of innovation, shaping the future of AI and beyond.
Roshni Nadar Malhotra, chairperson of HCLTech, emphasized the importance of encouraging women into STEM fields, laying the foundation for workplace equity and transformative growth. This is only the beginning - the SAWiT.AI Hackathon is set for October, and the Learnathon continues until September 30th, with key support from Google, HCLTech, and Sheroes.
Now is the time for women to chase their dreams, embrace the power of AI, and create a future that’s truly their own. If 46,000 women can achieve this in just 24 hours, imagine what you can do.
