  • Big and international moves are being made by our incubattees. Five of our startups, namely: BLC Entertainment, DBI Intelligent Technology Group, Loomee Group, Olem Business Boutique and Softcoza - Software Company Of South Africa landed an incredible opportunity of traveling to China for the Global Digital Trade Expo. They are busy showcasing their businesses at the South Africa Digital Industry Pavillion under the province of the Eastern Cape and ECDC. We are excited that they are forging global connections that will take their businesses to the next level. While Olem Business Boutique couldn’t be on the ground, we are pleased that some of our startups stepped up to man their stand. Thank you for representing us so well.

We are also proud to have Benito Carelsen, founder of BLC Entertainment - one of our incubated startups, representing the Nelson Mandela Innovation Hub. • Today, we honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela who was a beacon of hope, resilience and innovation. Mandela believed in the power of education and entrepreneurship to drive change and we strive to embody that spirit every day. As a business incubator, we are committed to nurturing innovative ideas and empowering entrepreneurs to create sustainable solutions for our communities. In the words of Madiba, "It always seems impossible until it’s done." Let's take this day to remind ourselves that each of us has the power to make a difference. By supporting local businesses, investing in new ideas and fostering a spirit of collaboration, we can build a brighter future for all. Let us celebrate Nelson Mandela Day by taking action to uplift your community. Whether it’s through volunteering, mentoring or simply spreading kindness - every small act counts. Let’s honour Madiba’s legacy together. #nelsonmandeladay

  • "We are proud to see the innovative solutions emerging from our community showcased at the 4th Annual SMMEs in ICT Conference, both the businesses that exhibited and those that attended the summit and are using this opportunity to network. These businesses exemplify the transformative power of AI and smart technology across various sectors. During the panel discussion on 'AI Revolution in Supply Chain Management for SMMEs in ICT,' which I had the privilege to moderate, we delved into how AI is driving growth and revolutionizing the supply chain process for startups. AI-driven analytics provide real-time insights, enabling businesses to anticipate demand, manage inventory more effectively and respond swiftly to market changes. For startups, these advancements are crucial. They level the playing field which allows smaller enterprises to compete with larger corporations by leveraging technology to enhance their supply chain capabilities. This not only boosts their competitiveness but also opens up new avenues for growth and innovation. At the Nelson Mandela Innovation Hub, we remain committed to providing the resources, mentorship and opportunities necessary for our startups to thrive and to drive economic growth in our region."
