⭐️Meet our people⭐️ For Sunnyboy Moyana, OmniPrecise® manager, a #dayinthelife starts with a cup of coffee while he reviews the tasks ahead. “I spend the first few minutes of the day analysing finances. It’s important that I stay close to the numbers,” he says. The rest of his time is taken up with leading cross-functional teams on key projects and collaborating with different regions. He also makes sure to visit farmers with Omnia’s agronomists and sales agents and ensures other departments get the support they need from his team. “At the end of the day, I feel energised. The work is really stimulating!” he says. Omnia Nutriology: www.nutriology.co.za #OneOmnia #FeetontheFarm #FeedingTheNation #OmniPrecise #TheScienceOFGrowing

🌿 We’re celebrating Heritage Day with South Africa’s indigenous foods! 🌿 South Africa has a rich heritage of indigenous foods and crops that are all too often overlooked. From the comforting warmth of phuthu/mieliepap to the unique flavours of waterblommetjiebredie, kei apple jam, and mashed amadumbe, our traditional foods tell a story of resilience and connection to the land. These crops are not only deeply rooted in our culture but are also champions of sustainability. They’re drought resistant, thrive even in poor soils, and are packed with nutrition. Here are just some indigenous crops to explore: 🌱Sorghum: A versatile grain with a rich history, and essential for brewing traditional beer 🌱Millet: Nutritious, and often used for porridges and beer 🌱Amaranth: Protein-packed superfood that can be used instead of cabbage 🌱Cowpeas: Multi-use legume that can also be used as a forage crop 🌱Amadumbe: A potato-like tuber, amadumbe are delicious roasted or mashed 🌱Cassava: A root vegetable superfood, used for bread, fritters, and more 🌱Num-num: Also known as the Natal plum, these fruit can be eaten from the tree or 🌱preserved for jams. 🌱Kei apple: An apricot-like fruit used for jams and chutneys 🌱Waterblommetjies: Indigenous water lilies cooked in hearty stews 🌿 We’d love to hear from you! Tell us: What’s your favourite food tradition? Do you remember preparing or enjoying any indigenous foods? Are you currently growing any indigenous crops? #HeritageDay #IndigenousFoods #SustainableAgriculture #CelebrateTradition
