Did you know the root word for hospitality is the same for hospital? It's a Latin word, 'Hospes', which means to 'welcome people in'. Hospitality in Greek however, is 'Philoxenia', which when translated into English means, "the love of/for strangers". It's literally the opposite of xenophobia 💛

I'm fascinated with genuine human connection at the moment. The rise of AI and digital automation post the pandemic seems to have really had an effect on our ability to authentically connect. AI appears to have a counter-bet though, which some have labelled the 'connection economy' which is growing to meet the future need of human connection scarcity.
