iGaming & Sportsbook Fundi | Director of Africa & ME, The Conexus Group | Co-Founder, Initiate International | Founder, Women in Gaming Africa | Public Speaker & Passionate Afrophile | It’s time to #InitiateChange
Just before a lot of us go offline for #RoshHashana I wanted to put a post out for all the trailblazing MEN in the #Gaming industry - last week at SBC in #Lisbon I was lucky enough to have a LOT of support from my amazing network of men, most of whom I actually count amongst my friends now! 😎 I may have founded Women in Gaming Africa and was in part the reason I came to the event, but actually from the moment I arrived until the moment I left, it was the men that (literally) carried me through...so here's a shout-out (and some of the Linkedin friendly pics) to say thanks for being allies & gentlemen! We rise, by lifting others. 🫡 So today, my post is for the men who helped me RISE! 💙 Gali Hartuv you took me under your wing at my first iGaming Club by AffPapa event and it was great, and of course I got to meet John Wright after about 12 years, alongside my instant bestie for the night, Joe Hatch! Levon Nikoghosyan that was the best opener to what became the best show in gaming! Well done! 🤘 To Dean Finder, Kfir Kugler that "stand" was pure genius, and the happy hour inside the museum really was special - glad we were lucky enough to do the walk when the rain stopped, as it was totally worth it. Evolution is a business that continues to inspire & impress me; and I am happy to do business with you and the team Warren Wykerd, Leige Ludlow. 🤩 Big shout out to Ade Repcenko & WA.Technology that party was insane, and you always back my crazy ideas for WiG (more on that very soon, hopefully!) My bros, Zorair Asadour & Hamed Rahimi you kept a sister's levels topped up with the best cocktails, and generally just happy to have your presence at any show (see you both in Cape Town - or Armenia - very soon!) RAMI ABI RAMIA you have the best energy and the Pragmatic Play stand is always a beacon of seating & refreshments (well positioned there, guys!) To Simon Munsamy (MBA) & Yugan Naik for 2am missions to find other Africans to carry the party on with and for turning up to see me on stage - that means the most! 😍 To my own team at The Conexus Group - special shout-outs to Mark Farris for accompanying me on this journey in Africa and to Bruce Gamble for making it ok to accept drinks at 10am meetings, to Neill Butcher for providing an amazing intro to some homegrown female-CEO talent, Chris Gyere & Daniel Martin Chapman for always checking-in on me and just being all-round good eggs! Also, I spent way too much time speaking to Andy Brennan at our #ConexusConnects event and look forward to some more collaboration there! To Bashir Are, I am VERY excited about taking WiG to AGE LAGOS in 2025! Of course, to the final crescendo - 'Moshe Adir', Ashley Adir, Sean Oellermann & Martin Sack thanks for the awesome dinner & ending at the closing party, you guys reaffirm why we do all this crazy travelling to meet-up with people who we live 2ks away from in #CapeTown! 🫠 Any finally to Rasmus Sojmark who made ALL of this possible. YOU THE MAN!
