We had a productive day as the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) DUT SWEEP Executive Board at the Entrepreneurship Engagement that was hosted by Innobiz Durban University Of Technology. Ntokozo Ngcobo, Innobiz Centre Manager, warmly welcomed us and set the tone for the day. It was an honor to meet the esteemed guest speaker,Dr David Molapo, an international motivational speaker, who inspired us with his powerful message: 'My assignment is born, not borrowed.'Dr. Molapo introduced us to Mr. Sello Mbuli, founder of Global Computing Telecoms, who shared his journey and reminded us of the importance of prayer and seeking God's guidance in everything we do. We also had the privilege of meeting Mr. @Mosa Molapo, founder of Earth Manna and Dr. Molapo's son, who emphasized the significance of agriculture in his presentation. Truly an inspiring and insightful day. Day 3: Social entrepreneurship & MVP Development✨ ◾Day 3 was very demure, very mindful, very cutesy. In this beautiful short day Dr Keabetswe Ncube (PhD) taught us that as a human being you need to be adaptable, in this generation we live in decisions are made by data not people anymore, that requires one to learn a few skills, you can't be stuck in your career path or what you desire to be. In order for you to stay relevant and employed, you need to learn a pivit as many times as possible. She continued to tell us about her own company called Kea Ncube Agri Services which offers scientific farming solutions to farmers. She provide services about genetic tests, statistical methods that can be used for maximum yield, consultation, and farmer training. She continued to say that farming is a very lucrative business, it has its downsides but one thing you can bet on people will always need food. ◾Ellen Fischat closed the workshop by teaching us about social enterprise. A social enterprise's primary goal is to support and positively impact social and environmental interests instead of profit. This goal often helps these organisations achieve sustainable business strategies that support overall success. Running a social enterprise doesn't mean you will be poor, it means you don't pay devidents, you re invest into your social enterprise by paying salaries, you can cover all the costs and still get paid as the CEO. The goal of a social enterprise is to not only to make money it is to ensure that the money you make has further impact. That marks the end of the workshop but not the end of the sisterhood, I am grateful for the new sisters I have, their thoughtfulness is a gift I will always treasure. A special thank you to Student Women Economic Empowerment Programme (SWEEP) and Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) for making sure that the sisterhood continues✨ 🙏 Another special thank you to my co-ordinator Nombulelo Khanyisile Blaai, she makes the dreams come true and she always supports the great big, innovative, world-changing ideas we always come up with✨🙏 #edhe #SWEEP #sisterhood
