We’re proud to highlight that our graduate engineer, Rudo Makaya , recently participated in the Wetskills Challenge 2024 in Zimbabwe. Over two weeks in Bulawayo, they collaborated with young experts from Zimbabwe, Ghana, and the Netherlands to tackle critical hydroclimatic challenges, focusing on innovative solutions for water scarcity and quality degradation. Through hands-on workshops, expert consultations, and teamwork, our graduate engineer gained invaluable skills and insights that align with Hydro-Utilities' mission to promote sustainable water management. "Engineering water treatment infrastructure in Southern Africa “ We are delighted to share that Hydro Utilities Consulting Engineers is engaged in the design and review of two significantly valuable water treatment plants in Zambia that will serve over 500,000 residents. The larger plant has a design capacity of 40 ML/day. Both have been designed with climate resilience technology and concepts in mind, which are now prerequisites in world international water treatment design standards. Our engineers are working round the clock to ensure design standards are met and this process includes close liaison and review with expert consulting teams. This project marks a significant milestone in our mission to contribute towards sustainable water solutions across Africa through water infrastructure design.
