By addressing the gaps in access to international opportunities, the platform aims to significantly advance Quality Education (SDG 4), reduce inequalities (SDG 10) and promote lifelong learning.

    Are you a passionate young African leader with a message about mental well-being? Do you have practical tips for managing stress, anxiety, or another mental health topic? The Office of the African Union (AU) Chairperson's Youth Envoy, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community, has launched a unique opportunity for young mental health advocates across Africa and the diaspora. This initiative is tied to the upcoming SHAPE Africa Youth Summit, scheduled to take place from November 14-16, 2024, at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Young African leaders passionate about mental health advocacy are invited to apply for this exciting chance. The selected individuals will be offered full sponsorship to attend the summit and take part in a dedicated Mental Health Baraza workshop, aimed at sparking meaningful dialogue on mental well-being. Pivotal, a Melinda French Gates organization, launched Action for Women’s Health, a $250 million global open call that will fund organizations around the world that are improving women’s mental and physical health. Action for Women’s Health will support an array of organizations—of diverse geographies, sizes, perspectives, and approaches—united by their work to improve the mental and physical health of women. This initiative seeks to open access to funding streams to organizations and groups that historically have not had access to them. Eligibility Eligible organizations serve women and have a record of improving women’s mental or physical health.
