Before joining LT, Sophia honed her skills at Consuline Architetti Associati in Italy, specializing in lighting systems development & architectural projects. She then moved to the UAE, working for 3 years before joining LT. Sophia relishes the design process & supports execution whenever possible. She loves commissioning, seeing everything envisioned for a project come to life. Her passion for both exterior & interior lighting has been vital in creating evolving experiences. 💡 BEYOND THE DESK Sophia is a multifaceted individual with diverse interests. She finds solace in sketching & baking, excitement in beach volleyball, & exhilaration in riding her motorcycle. Her love for exploration extends to traveling, where she seeks inspiration from different cultures. Sophia's passion for discovery infuses her work with a deep appreciation for natural & human-made wonders. Sophia’s admiration for great minds is evident in her role models. Graham holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from Royal Holloway, University of London, awarded in 1996. Prior to that, he earned a Diploma from Cambridge University in 1993. Graham's career trajectory reflects his relentless pursuit of excellence. He began his professional journey as a Designer in 1996, a testament to his early commitment to the field. 💡 BEYOND THE DESK: Beyond the world of design, Graham is a multifaceted individual with a kaleidoscope of personal interests. He possesses a deep appreciation for design and theatre, having received initial training in theatre design and scenography. Graham's culinary interests shine through his passion for food and wine, while his creative spirit finds expression in music, as he enjoys playing instruments such as the piano and guitar. Graham is an avid reader and finds inspiration in the works of Iain M Banks, a renowned author known for his imaginative and thought-provoking novels. His diverse interests and passions mirror his ability to draw from various sources of inspiration in his design work. Two interesting facts about Graham reveal the depth of his character. He achieved the distinction of being the youngest jiu-jitsu black belt in the UK, demonstrating his dedication to personal achievement and discipline. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from UCLA's Theater, Film, and Television program, Teresa's education and hands-on experience laid the foundation for her career. She won the LA Theater Critics' award for best lighting design for Richard III and received IESNA awards for themed architectural projects. Teresa's journey spans live performances, architectural marvels, and installations balancing artistic and technical elements. Her work transcends illumination, weaving narratives and creating immersive experiences. 💡 BEYOND THE DESK: Beyond her professional achievements, Teresa's personal pursuits are just as fascinating. A theatre and dance connoisseur, she blends artistic sensibility with technical finesse. Her love for sci-fi reflects her imaginative spirit and curiosity. She also enjoys gardening, fine wines, and a diverse range of music, from Pink Floyd to Renaissance classical compositions. La Mar by Gastón Acurio! 🌊 🍽️ 💡 A Michelin-selected Peruvian restaurant in Dubai offering diners an authentic Peruvian gastronomic experience. Our lighting design was inspired by the rustic charm of Peru's culinary culture and the enchanting depths of the ocean. 💡 The design narrative focused on accentuating the restaurant's interior finishes, textures, and colors while seamlessly transitioning between indoor and outdoor seating areas as well; creating a visual journey that complements Chef Gastón’s culinary artistry. 💡 Proper lighting techniques were utilized to highlight dynamic focal points like the open kitchen and Ceviche bar, transforming functional elements into captivating pieces of art. One of our favorite standout features was the fishnet over the main stairs, where we had to come up with innovative solutions to seamlessly lit this feature reinforcing the Peruvian sea theme.
