Never in a month of Sunday's could I have imagined when I started this creative recycling project that I would be invited to present my work and PEAHEAD.eco Sustainable Design Studio to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE. What an incredible honour. I am humbled to be amongst a select group of environmentalists who are working to preserve wildlife, change minds and offer solutions to our environmental challenges. When I shared that I am from Belfast, Northern Ireland His Highness MBZ said that he has several friends from Belfast. The soothing rhythms of ocean waves. The enchanting allure of the night sky. Witness the beauty of nature in our latest installations: the beautiful "Ocean Wave" bench and the "Starry Moonlit Saltwater" light structure.   Both are mesmerising passersby at an exhibition in front of One JBR, a 46-storey residential building in Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Marina. It’s the latest collaboration between Danube Group and PEAHEAD.eco.    Christine Wilson, a prominent sustainability artist and founder of Dubai-based design studio Peahead.eco, has expertise in creating large-scale interactive art installations and upcycled fashion accessories. Our installations are part of a greater initiative that addresses urban waste and marine pollution with a boardwalk of art made from waste and recycled materials.   What a beautiful way to cut and shape our versatile #Polygood® panels, made from 100% recycled plastic. Two of our dreamy patterns, Sapphire Terrazzo and Aqua Drift, harmonise beautifully with each other, creating both a visually stunning and environmentally-friendly statement. On the occasion of World Environment Day, we're proud to announce the culmination of a six month CSR activation, built on the foundation of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Over 110 students across Dubai participated in 32 workshops to innovate waste materials into art resulting in four spectacular installations that were exhibited across the destinations. Commenting on the activation, Shahram Shamsaee, CEO, Merex Investment says: “Our sustainability initiative with school students was driven by the desire to nurture an eco-consciousness generation and to ignite innovation among young people. We also wanted the students to inspire the public by crafting sculptures that provoke thought and champion sustainable practices.
