The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is the driving force behind the transformation of Sharjah. Guided by local tradition and inspired by innovation, Shurooq is committed to enhancing Sharjah’s appeal as an investment, tourism and business destination. An independent government entity, Shurooq facilitates partnerships and connects investors, corporations and entrepreneurs with the right opportunities. The authority identifies, evaluates and pursues tourism, investment and heritage-related infrastructure projects, participating in construction and development to ensure successful outcomes. Core to Shurooq's mission is to help provide facilities and incentives to overcome obstacles facing investors in the Emirate of Sharjah. The authority drives an extensive annual trade and investment promotion campaign, helping to take Sharjah's investment proposition to businesses and governments worldwide. In recognition of its overall accomplishments, Shurooq was named The Banking Awards 2013 - and 2014 FDI Agency of the Year in the MENA region, in the European's Global Banking and Finance Awards.

شهد صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة، وبحضور الشيخة بدور بنت سلطان القاسمي، رئيسة هيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير (شروق)، إطلاق كتاب "مليحة"، الصادر حديثًا بالتعاون بين هيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير "شروق" ودار أسولين للنشر His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, marked a significant moment for UAE heritage with the unveiling of Mleiha: Ancient Treasures of the UAE, a landmark publication produced by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in collaboration with Assouline Publishing. Attending the launch was Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Shurooq. His Highness commemorated the occasion by signing a special edition of the book, a gesture reflecting his enduring commitment to preserving and celebrating the UAE’s cultural heritage.

Fencing work has started for the 34.2 sq km Mleiha National Park, an important step in its preservation and protection led by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) collaboration with the Directorate of Public Works. This project marks an important milestone in the journey to enshrine one of #Sharjah’s most treasured #historical and #ecological landscapes. #Mleiha is a where our #ancient #cultural #heritage is set in amber, but today it’s a hub for #scientific #research, #sustainable #tourism, and #community engagement. Fencing it off safeguards its legacy and ensures future generations will be able to experience and learn from this extraordinary place. The vision for Mleiha National Park is to create three distinct zones that balance #conservation with #exploration. The Core Conservation Zone will protect #natural #habitats and #wildlife, while the Ecotourism and Hybrid Zones will offer eco-friendly stays and #adventure. This approach means we can preserve Mleiha’s unique #biodiversity and #archaeological wonders while creating #sustainable #economic #opportunities for the local community. As the work progresses, Mleiha will evolve into a world-class #destination where #history, #luxury, and #adventure coexist. أعلنت هيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير (شروق)، بالتعاون مع لوكس كوليكتف للضيافة اكتمال و40٪ من الأعمال الإنشائية لمنتجع لوكس الجبل في مدينة خورفكان، و 25٪ من الأعمال الإنشائية لمنتجع لوكس البردي في المنطقة الوسطى الذيد، بتكلفة إجمالية للمنتجعين تبلغ قيمتها 320 مليون درهم إماراتي، ومن المتوقع اكتمال الأعمال الإنشائية للمنتجعين في الربع الأخير من عام 2025. The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), in partnership with The Lux Collective, announces the completion of 40% construction for LUX* Al Jabal Resort in Khorfakkan, and 25% of construction work for LUX* Al Bridi Resort in the central region of Al Dhaid, with a total AED 320 million investment. Both resorts are expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2025, marking a key milestone in the strategic partnership between Shurooq and The Lux Collective to enhance Sharjah’s position as a leading destination for luxury eco-tourism.
