🌟 It was a very educative experience attending TAPPI - Western Michigan University’s (WMU) Fiber Recycling Course in beautiful Kalamazoo, Michigan. Held in June 2024.🌟
During this course, I had the opportunity to learn about:

🔹 Recycled Fiber Global Markets Update
🔹 Sustainability — Brand Owner Perspective
🔹 Regulations and Market Drivers
🔹 Collection and MRF Operations
🔹 Paper Mill Operations
🔹 Hands-on Fiber Recycling/Papermaking Option
Additionally, I attended the Optional Add-On Course: WMU Paper Pilot Plant Experience, where I got hands-on experience in:
🛠️ Fiber recycling operations (pulping, screening, cleaning)
🛠️ Paper making on the newly installed dual fourdrinier pilot machine
🛠️ Spending time in the papermaking/paper testing labs
It was incredible to see the entire process from a bale of recovered paper entering the process to the recovery of fibers and the production of recycled paper (forming, pressing, drying, calendering).
