Naini Agro-Forestry team has developed nurseries at three locations - Kashipur, Bareilly and Bijnor, aimed to supply various species of Eucalyptus, Poplar, Bamboo and Casuarina to local farmers. The #AgroForestry model proposed by our team aims to considerably increase the income of #localfarmers. Our model has the following advantages - 🌳Lower input cost as compared to conventional crops 🌳High yield of timber through new clonal species 🌳Increase in “Tree Cover” which helps in carbon sequestration 🌳Employment generation 🌳Ease of obtaining #FSCcertification for farmers, thereby helping them get a better price for their produce 🌳#Sustainable source of raw material for wood based industry This year, Naini aims to supply around 25 lacs saplings to farmers covering an approximate area of 2000 hectares.
