On July 10th, the inter-institutional technical working group, facilitated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, convened to discuss about the elaboration of the National Energy and Climate Plan in Albania, which is being supported by GIZ. 🌍🌡️ GIZ team of experts, in collaboration with the Ministry, during this meeting presented the preliminary areas that will need to be updated and introduced in the plan, including planned policies, measures, strategic decisions, targets, etc. ✅The National Energy and Climate Plan is crucial for outlining and achieving long-term energy and climate objectives. Working with farmers for a green agriculture.    In cooperation with our partners Agrokoni and BioBest, over 5️⃣0️⃣ farmers participated in an open field day dedicated to Biological Control in greenhouse production.    🌾 During the event, farmers and agronomists had the opportunity to see in practice the successful application of beneficial organisms to control pests in sweet pepper cultivation.    👉 Implementation of this practice is intently related to environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, farmers and consumers health, as well as facilitation to the access of Albanian products towards the EU markets.    🤝 Thanks to the continuous work of farmers and all stakeholders, this plant protection method is being progressively adopted in greenhouse production.  .  .  .  #GIZAlbania #BiologicalControl #beneficalorganisms #greenagriculture #sustainablefarming

Last week, we were in #Elbasan, #Mat, and #Klos to present the key findings of the #Social #Mapping and offer policy recommendations to the local municipalities. This evidence-based document serves as a valuable tool in systematically identify, document, and analyse the vulnerabilities of various disadvantaged groups. By analysing the multiple discrimination, we are not only looking at the symptoms and the manifestation of inequality, but we delve deeper to identify the underlying root causes that sustain inequality over time.
