Let’s take a moment to highlight one of the dynamic leaders who will be opening our conference: Kristen Anderson, a committed advocate for gender equality at the decision-making level. As the CEO of European Women on Boards (EWOB) and a member of its Executive Committee, Kristen plays a key role in advancing women into C-suite and board roles across Europe. She has been part of the #EWOB #Board since 2021 and is committed to driving change through #gender #diversity. Before joining EWOB, Kristen held the position of Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Barilla from 2016 to 2021, where she led efforts to promote inclusion across the company’s global operations. She worked closely with a 12-member D&I Board and reported directly to the CEO. Her career spans more than 25 years, during which she has led research and development teams around the world, including in Australia, Germany, China, and South Africa, to name just a few. In her keynote, Kristen will explain the progress that has been made in terms of gender balance on boards. Recent data shows that women now hold 33% of board positions in the largest EU-listed companies—a significant step forward. However, Kristen emphasizes that true progress goes beyond simply having women on boards; it’s about ensuring their voices are heard and their perspectives are included across all levels of the organization. Albana Vrioni, #Executive #Director of Women on Boards Albania (WOB-AL), will extend Kristen’s sharing with insights from a study on the #advancement of #women in corporate governance in Albania. Together, they will highlight the opportunities presented by the #EU #Directive on #GenderBalance in #Boards, and share recommendations on how it can be leveraged to create meaningful and lasting change in Albania. This is more than just a discussion on numbers; it's about fostering real #inclusion, improving performance through #diversity, and creating workplaces where everyone can thrive. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from two inspiring leaders at the forefront of the gender diversity movement!
