We know our pipes and their versatility by heart. And we still get excited each time we hear they are doing something out-of-the-box. 🌊 Like being casing pillars for the piles of a new marine dock. 267 vertical pillars in lengths of 14 to 20 meters were built with DN 1000 GRP casings for the expansion of the Maliaño - Santander dock in northern Spain. In total, Amiblu Spain supplied 4138 meters of Flowtite GRP pipes for this project. ❕ GRP pipes are perfect for marine environments for several reasons: They are resistant to corrosion, strong and sturdy, but still lightweight and easy to install, and they are virtually maintenance-free. We'd call this a dock designed for generations! #pipes4generations #grp #innovativesolutions

🚧 When areas are being redeveloped, old structures often need to give way to newer ones. If this structure is an essential one, like a sewer pipeline, things can become pretty tricky. In France, the Mas du Taureau district in the Lyon Metropolitan area is currently being redeveloped as part of the National Urban Renewal Program (NPNRU) 2018-2025. As part of this comprehensive project, an existing sewer pipeline in the urban area of Vaulx-en-Velin had to be diverted to not interfere with the new buildings and other infrastructure. Amiblu designed and supplied the required 810 meters of egg-shaped NC line GRP pipes 1000x1800 mm. The pipes are specifically adapted to complex conditions such as low gradients and pipe network depths reaching up to 4.6 meters. Moreover, the limited on-site storage area required on-time deliveries and agile logistics. The Amiblu France team ensured this, and more: ⚙️ We set up a dedicated logistics platform to enable flexible deliveries of in total 300 GRP pipes and fittings (manholes, bends), with a double quality control at both reception and dispatch. ⚙️ We optimized packaging and transport costs through scheduled deliveries from the factories to the temporary storage platform, preventing potential delays. ⚙️ We offered an ultra-responsive customer service: Deliveries within 24 to 48 hours, reconditioning of parts based on needs, and the use of appropriate lifting equipment, all ensuring maximum client satisfaction. 🙌 So proud to be part of this exciting project! #Amiblu #AmibluFrance #ZACMasduTaureau #SustainableManagement #Innovation #UrbanDevelopment #GreenLogistics #France

🌲 What do GRP pipes and trees have in common? At Amiblu, they are both a means to cut CO2 emissions and mitigate the climate crisis. ☑️ Our pipes feature responsible raw materials from low-impact suppliers and are manufactured in responsible factories focussing on waste reduction and renewable energy. And most importantly: They are built for generations. ✅ "Our" trees are being planted in the Spanish Borela forest - 79.52 hectares of conifers and native hardwoods, revitalizing the ecosystem of the region Cerdedo-Cotobade in Pontevedra. And they help offset 646 tons of CO2. CO2 Revolution uses state-of-the-art biotechnology combined with traditional means for the reforestation to preserve the area's biodiversity and promote its social development - all works are realized by locals, 50% of them women. Of course, reforestation is no license for CO2 laissez-faire. But it is a great additional measure to sequester carbon, conserve biodiversity, improve air quality and protect soils, thereby regulating also the climate. The initiative is part of Amiblu Spain's ecological transition plan “Amiblu Green 2022-2024”. Thanks to several initiatives over the past years, the production plant in Camarles has become the first European factory of C02 neutral GRP pipes, with 100% of C02 emissions offset. 💚 Thank you for joining us on this journey towards a more sustainable future! #WeAreAmiblu #pipes4generations #sustainablesolutions #climateaction #bethechange

It’s a universal principle of life. A fundamental human right. Everyone should have access to enough, affordable, diverse, and safe FOOD. 🌍 Today is World Food Day. Hunger and malnutrition get worse during crises caused by conflict, extreme weather, and economic problems. Our food systems are especially at risk from disasters, especially with climate change in the mix. But at the same time, these systems are adding to pollution, harming soil, water, and air, and increasing greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity loss. 🥣 However, if we transform the way we produce and manage food, there’s a huge opportunity to tackle climate change and build more peaceful, resilient, and inclusive communities. 💧 One major part of this are durable, efficient and low-maintenance irrigation systems that help save water and energy throughout the agri-food chain and provide a buffer against rainfall variability caused by climate change. This assures considerable improvements in agricultural production. Our GRP pipes meet these and several further requirements in a unique and highly innovative way: They are reliably leak-tight, resistant against all weather conditions, and a solution for generations. ▶️ Find our more about Amiblu irrigation solutions here: https://lnkd.in/e-SCZrGP ⏩ And click here to learn more about today's World Food Day by FAO: https://lnkd.in/gXd-FPH2 #worldfoodday #pipes4generations #grp #irrigation

✅ High operational performance, less congestions, and reduced CO2 emissions: Electrified Bus Rapid Transit (eBRT) systems play a key role in achieving carbon neutral mobility. One such system is currently being implemented between the Italian cities of Bergamo, Dalmine, and Verdellino. Promoted by the ATB Azienda Trasporti Bergamo, the new eBRT line will lift the regional public transport to a new, more sustainable level. Amiblu supplied 1500 m Hobas pipes DN 1500 plus manholes for a new irrigation channel that is being built alongside the public transport system. PIDE S.r.l. took excellent care of the hydraulic design, while the construction was entrusted to the expert team of VITALI SPA. 💡 This project perfectly demonstrates how innovation, technology and respect for the environment can go hand in hand, improving infrastructure and promoting increasingly efficient mobility! #grp #pipes4generations #sustainablesolutions

💧 Today is Global Hydropower Day. A day celebrating both the oldest form of renewable energy and the backbone of a net zero future. 💡 This is because hydropower is not just energy delivery. It provides a range of other services to energy grids, such as storage and flexibility to balance solar and wind. And it can be used to regulate and store water to mitigate the impacts of extreme weather events such as floods and drought, which are on the rise due to climate change. 📈 Hydropower already accounts for more than 50% of renewable electricity production globally. And this is still not enough – by far: Even though in the past five years, hydropower capacity has grown by 115GW, this is only about half the pace it needs to be to stay on the net zero pathway of the COP28 commitments. 🌱 And while growth is mandatory, the development must be carried out in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. This includes addressing concerns about the potential environmental and social impacts of hydropower projects, as well as navigating public perception. 🌍 Using environmentally friendly products in hydropower plants is an important part for boosting the responsible growth of this essential energy source, balancing progress with safeguarding our world. We are grateful and proud to be part of this development. Our GRP pipe systems have proven their worth in numerous projects all over the world, more than 600 alone in Norway. And there’s many more to come! Generating energy with small hydropower plants creates regional economic value and sustainable energy for generations 💙 Follow us to beautiful Carinthia in southern Austria for a showcase example! The new community hydropower power plant at the Lamnitzbach stream has an output of 1,187 kW and can generate around 2.8 million kWh of electricity per year (equalling approx. 800 Carinthian households). Amiblu manufactured and supplied the plant's penstock, featuring 1410 m of Flowtite GRP pressure pipes DN 900. The transportation of the pipes to the construction site via a winding, narrow path and steep terrain was quite challenging – but no problem thanks to the comparatively light GRP pipes. The Lamnitz hydropower plant was completed on schedule thanks to the perfect cooperation with Kraftwerksgesellschaft Rangersdorf GmbH, Kelag Energie Kärnten and Fürstauer Bau Winklern. Our regional GRP expert Hans Peter Schlacher supervised the project from start to finish, including video recordings on site – thanks for sharing these beautiful impressions with us! #grp #pipes4generations #renewables #renewableenergy #hydropower
