The EHF Marketing GmbH is the marketing arm and subsidiary of the European Handball Federation. The company works closely with marketing and media partners as well as Europe’s leading clubs to release the full potential of handball on the international sports market. The EHF Marketing is responsible for the exploitation, organisation and promotion of the European club handball competitions including the EHF Champions League, EHF European League and EHF European Cup. The EHF Marketing GmbH is based in Vienna, Austria and the office now has a staff of more than 25 sports professionals from numerous European nations, working in the areas of marketing, sales, events, clubs and administration, implementation or content and media operations.

    What Are European Handball Fans Looking to Purchase? This and many other questions have been central to our efforts in understanding our community better. So, we took action — with our recent fan survey! This extensive survey provided insights in three main areas:  1️⃣ Demographics 2️⃣ Socio-Cultural Aspects 3️⃣ Sponsor Awareness With a substantial number of participants, we have gathered a solid dataset on the European handball fanbase. Here are some key takeaways about our community: 👉 38 % who percept European club handball are under 35 years old 👉 Over 80% like to attend matches with their family Further findings are shown in the graphics below. These insights are invaluable for shaping our fan experience initiatives. And just as importantly, they provide our partners with a precise, data-driven understanding to tailor their activities to fan preferences.     200 Days to the EHF Finals Men 2025 ⏱️ After a successful 2024 edition in Hamburg, excitement for the EHF Finals Men 2025 is building! We are already looking forward to coming together again at the Barclays Arena on 24/25 May to witness high-class European club handball. The organisation is well underway.     Establishing valuable partnerships in Croatia Close collaboration and ongoing idea generation are our top priorities to ensure we deliver the greatest value to our EHF club competition partners.   Yesterday, we held a workshop together with our partners, the Croatian National Tourist Board and Istria Tourist Board, to plan the next months of the season. A key objective is to regularly engage their brands with activations in our premium product, the Machineseeker EHF Champions League.   The workshop covered:  👉 Identification of relevant markets (countries and clubs)  👉 Presentation of activation ideas tailored to the partners’ goals   👉 Decision on concrete activations and selection of specific matches  👉 Outlook on the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2025   As a sports organisation, we are particularly committed to connect theory with practice. Attending the #MOTW between Handball Club Zagreb and #Barca provided the perfect opportunity to show our partners how activations unfold in front of approx. 12,000 spectators on-site.   Additionally, the meet-up was a valuable occasion to gain deeper insights into each other’s philosophies and further strengthen our partnerships.     Thank You, Paul Drux! A career that embodied the spirit of European handball The news of Paul Drux' sudden career end due to his serious injury hit us at EHF Marketing. When the news spread internally, the following immediately came up: During the preparations for the 2013/14 EHF Champions League season, VELUX ambassador Lars Christiansen - one of the best left wings in the world - was set to be the main character in the competition's new opening sequence. At that time, EHF Marketing and the title sponsor were looking for a young player to also be part of the clip. The decision was not just about representing the new generation of young, upcoming talents, but also about showing the values that make handball such a great sport. The choice fell on Paul and turned out to be spot on as throughout his career he embodied all the values the EHF Champions League wants to convey. Last week, Paul announced that he must retire from professional handball earlier than anyone had hoped due to his injury. On behalf of the entire EHF Marketing team, we want to thank Paul for his dedication and passion throughout all these seasons and for being a figurehead for European handball. With teams like the reigning champions SG Flensburg-Handewitt, THW Kiel Handball-Bundesliga GmbH & Co. KG, and Montpellier Handball, the competition promises thrill and world-class handball action. There will be no shortcuts on the road to the final weekend, which will take place on 24/25 May 2025 at the Barclays Arena in Hamburg. Passion, discipline, and relentless pursuit of success will be the key drivers in this battle. At the end of the season, the EHF Finals Men 2025 will ultimately show who truly belongs to the best of the best. Greatness is not given - it is earned. This applies not only to the teams but also to EHF Marketing as the organiser. We are responsible for the planning and successful execution of the entire season.     EHF Finals Men return to Hamburg in 2025   On May 24/25, 2025, the European Handball Federation and EHF Marketing are expecting thousands of fans in Hamburg to experience one of the most exciting handball weekends of the season. The EHF Finals Men will once again take place at Barclays Arena.   True to the motto of the EHF European League “ALL IN”, EHF Marketing together with its partners Barclays Arena and Active City Hamburg will go to any lengths to organise an amazing weekend for all involved parties. New standards are to be set for the competition as well as the final weekend.   Therefore, fans will once again be able to watch top-class handball in an outstanding arena and enjoy a familiar and vibrant atmosphere close to their idols. Partners and sponsors will get the best opportunity to showcase their brands and activations on-site, complemented by worldwide media coverage. Last year, 12.1 million people followed the EHF Finals Men on various TV channels. 37,450 fans enjoyed the action live at Barclays Arena.     Expanded TV Landscape for EHF Club Competitions 2024/25 📺   The matches of the EHF Champions League season 2024/25 are broadcasted by 33 TV networks across Europe. After a record-breaking last season, in which the EHF Champions League reached more than 600 million viewers in front of the TV screens, complemented by the 1,1 billion mark for the digital reach of the competitions, EHF Marketing continues to work on expanding their network of TV partnerships and making handball accessible to an ever wider audience. A notable addition this season is the launch of a new 24/7 handball-dedicated channel in the DACH region. Pluto TV x DAZN Handball stands out by offering over 50 live, free-to-air games from the EHF Club Competitions throughout the season. Additionally, the OTT platform "Handball Kanalen," which aired the EHF Champions League last season, was amalgamated with "EveryPlay", to provide one single streaming destination in the marketplace. This will attract a wider audience in the Scandinavian market. EveryPlay continues to stream all matches of the competitions in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and the Faroe Islands. As the latest addition, the Icelandic OTT platform Livey, will be streaming all Machineseeker EHF Champions League matches, along with EHF European League Men games featuring the two participating Icelandic teams, as well as the Matches of the Week of the EHF Champions League Women. The European Handball Federation and EHF Marketing have also enhanced their own streaming service, EHFTV. A redesigned version was launched in early September, now featuring English commentary for all 132 Machineseeker EHF Champions League games, along with the Matches of the Week from the EHF Champions League Women. The aim is to maintain the high quality that EHFTV has been delivering for 16 years and to continuously improve and optimise standards and services.     Today’s evening marks the throw-off of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League season 2024/25. It will be the start of an exciting journey for the 16 participating teams over the next 10 months until the final match at the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2025.   Although it is still a long time until then, we are already planning ahead for the big showdown of the season, knowing that the LANXESS arena will once again be filled to the last seat on 14/15 June 2025.   As of today, more than 70 % of the regular tickets have already been sold. Due to the high demand, the last major batch of tickets was released yesterday. As soon as these are no longer available, only a few contingents in the Premium and Category 1 section as well as in the VIP areas remain.   Why we are especially excited about this? Shortly after the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4, more than 12,000 tickets have been snapped up. After two subsequent ticket alerts, 70% of the seats were sold - without even being able to predict which teams might be contending for the trophy.   What we conclude from this? 💡The TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 has become an annual tradition and place-to-be. 💡Fans feel compelled to secure their tickets as early as possible. 💡Consequently, possibilities to increase seating capacities are being explored. 💡For spectators, it is not just the action on the court that matters; the entire event program adds to the overall experience. The TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 offers an extensive range of activities that ensure unforgettable moments, whether fans come with family, friends, business partners or clients.   The first matches of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League season 2024/25 throw off at 18:45 CEST and can be watched on EHFTV.
