Who drives innovation in healthcare? It turns out #innovation needs #inspiration. Oh, THAT's why!! If you are caught in daily operational business it’s hard to come up with innovative ideas. Only focusing on problems often lets you feel powerless. But focusing on inspiration and opportunities can unleash incredible potential. Innovation in #healthcare is driven by entrepreneurial minds who see beyond the problems and envision solutions. The ones who are intrinsically interested to do this are the #patients, who else? They often come up with the better solutions themselves or help organizations to come up with better solutions when included in the discussions early on and throughout the development and optimization processes. We truly believe that these are the ingredients we all need to drive change in the healthcare systems. Last year's Health Innovation Summit Vienna, revealed this evermore!! Our most important goal was to inspire, show possibilities and examples from all over the world, learn from each other and create the basis for #collaboration. A lot of this has happened since then. One question keeps popping up: how do we really "use" the "most underused resource in healthcare, the patient"? On 23rd of October we will meet again in #Vienna to focus on exactly this question, to keep the ball rolling and drive innovation and change by inspiration, innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration. 🏆 Despite its tremendous social and economic #impact, #selfcare remains the most underappreciated #intervention in public #healthcare worldwide. 🌎🌍🌏Today, only 10 countries -mostly developing ones are leading the adoption of self-care initiatives, freeing up valuable resources and reducing waste, while securing much better health #outcomes. During my speaking intervention at the Health Innovation Summit by Health Hub Vienna I have reported on engaging #successful self-care #practices across the globe.
