At 10 Market Street, the new workplace for Pickerings Group of Companies has been designed to bring together functionality and style, helping to create a seamless experience for both staff and visitors. With sweeping Story Bridge views from the boardroom and executive office, alongside four offices, flexible hot desks, and a welcoming staff lounge, the design prioritises both focus and collaboration. The custom reception joinery sets the stage for an elevated client experience, while the dark, timeless palette—featuring stone elements and rich textures—reflects a sense of professionalism and longevity. More than just a workspace, this design solution supports efficiency, reinforces identity, and evolves with the needs of their business. Harrison Cooper | Abigail Dobbs

We’re honoured to be named one of the Best of Region (Australia & New Zealand) winners at the Shaw Contract Design Awards 2024 for our Inhabit & Egis project! This collaborative workplace, designed with Shaw Contract’s Haven Familiar carpet throughout, was crafted to inspire creativity while preserving the unique character of the building. Each element was carefully integrated to foster both innovation and connection. A huge congratulations to all the other winners in the Best of Region category. We’re immensely grateful to our team for bringing this vision to life and thankful to have worked with such amazing clients. Thank you to Shaw Contract and the judging panel for recognising Archway. - Shaw Contract  |  Shaw Contract Australia  |  Chrystal Timms

Balancing individuality and unity at George Street Chambers   Designing 30 individual chambers to reflect each barrister’s unique needs while maintaining a cohesive identity was no small feat.   Through meticulous planning and creative solutions, we navigated the complexity of working with 30 individual clients, delivering personalised designs that cater to their unique requirements. Our selections ranged from natural stone finishes and European oak flooring to advanced technology and acoustic upgrades, creating breath-taking results that capitalise on the natural light and endless views across Brisbane. “The ability to design for individuality while aligning with a collective vision was an inspiring experience” – Sophie Mann, Design Lead.   Collaborating with such a dedicated group made the project truly enjoyable for all involved.

Redefining the traditional legal experience: the professional and personalised new home of George Street Chambers.   Located in the heart of Brisbane’s legal precinct, this new workplace for 30 barristers and 6 readers spans across an entire floor at 400 George Street, capturing the essence of the chambers with a timeless and highly authentic aesthetic.   Archway began working on this project at the inception of the chambers, collaborating closely with David de Jersey KC and each member of the new chambers. The process was highly collaborative, starting with several test fitouts to select the perfect site for their new workplace. Following a comprehensive design development phase, our branding and marketing teams crafted the brand’s new identity, ensuring every detail aligned with their ambitious vision.   The palette is professional and calming, bringing a fresh sophistication that feels warm and welcoming. Japanese-crafted ceramic tiles are a standout feature throughout key client and staff areas, complemented by Tasmanian Oak waffle ceilings that add refinement and impact.   Working with the members of George Street Chambers, who were genuinely invested in the outcome, made the journey incredibly rewarding. Their trust in our vision, and our ability to deliver it, made it possible to produce a space we all couldn’t be happier with.
