If there’s one thing we focus on at Atlas Carbon, it’s projects that deliver for primary producers. It’s not enough just to understand the science, you’ve also got to understand the business. Here's what four graziers had to say about their businesses, working with Atlas Carbon, and the opportunities they see for a soil carbon project to improve their grazing management, production, soil health and resilience. https://lnkd.in/ehTAFdid

This week our Atlas Carbon and MaiaGrazing team were at Wilmot Field Day as a sponsor for the third year running. Since we first attended WFD, the community around the event has been growing, demonstrating an increasing interest in the opportunity to stack agricultural productivity with environmental benefits. The event really showcased just how significant this opportunity is for Australia: 🌱 US keynote speaker Gabe Brown encouraged Australian primary producers to lead the climate-friendly agriculture movement, leveraging our world-leading carbon market to support improved grazing practices and soil and pasture management strategies. 🌱 Livestock producers, Jared Doyle, Hugh McMurtrie, Scott Michell, Scott Macansh and Shane Curtis of Wilmot Cattle Co, shared their own experiences with carbon farming projects, and the opportunities they see for their businesses. 🌱 AACo. updated attendees about soil carbon sequestration measured across their rangeland properties, with increases in soil carbon associated with improvements in land condition. ACM captured some of the highlights and you can read more here: https://lnkd.in/ghkgBTCq

Atlas Carbon’s Carbon Project Success Manager, Amanda Phillips, had a great day out at the Burnett Mary Regional Group Regenerative Agriculture Forum in Gayndah, Queensland yesterday. “It was wonderful to catch up in person with Atlas Carbon customer and MC of the event Charlie Arnott as well as MaiaGrazing customers Russell Murdoch and Liz Mahood,” Amanda says. “Plus having the opportunity to hear from, and meet incredible speakers such as Nicole Masters was so exciting. It was really encouraging to see over 300 people turn up, keen to learn more about unlocking the potential of their grazing operations and landscapes. What a day!”

Senior Sales Consultant, Victoria Lawrance and Pasture and Grazing Consultant, Rafe Ritchie are in Albany today, carrying out Atlas Carbon’s first Western Australian Farm Visit! Farm Visits are a key step in the due diligence process we carry out when assessing a property’s suitability for a soil carbon project. Soil and pasture samples are taken, while our team also develops a thorough understanding of each farm’s current grazing and management practices. Following the Farm Visit, Atlas Carbon produces a robust assessment and report about each property’s suitability for a soil carbon project. #soilhealth #soilcarbon #soilcarbonsequestration

A great article on the importance of soil health for climate, nature and health to kick off 2025! You may have seen in the news this week that scientists are calling for urgent action to limit global soil degradation (with 40% of the world’s soils already degraded). A new report from the Aroura Soil Security Think Tank (SSTT) has highlighted the critical role of agriculture in addressing this decline, offering regenerative agriculture and strategic grazing as potential solutions. We, at Atlas Carbon, have always been firm believers in these solutions. Building soil carbon goes hand in hand with strategic livestock grazing, which is why @Atlas Carbon and @MaiaGrazing are integrated as part of our offering. We’re proud to be working with livestock producers who are improving their soil health and on-farm productivity through practical solutions like rotational grazing, adjusting stocking rates and implementing rest periods. Heading into 2025, our CEO Ashley Silver shares her thoughts on the future of Australia’s Carbon Market with AuctionsPlus Here are some of the key points: 🚀 The price for Australian carbon credits (ACCUs) is looking strong as major emitters rush to meet regulatory deadlines. 🌱 There’s also a rising global demand for high-integrity carbon credits as companies step up their decarbonisation commitments. 🥩 Agriculture is playing a crucial role in this shift, with key events like Beef Australia and LambEx showcasing the importance of carbon initiatives in the industry.
