#Aurizn had the privilege of attending the Flinders University Student Project Expo at Tonsley, where final-year undergraduate and master’s students from #STEM disciplines showcased their innovative projects through posters and live demonstrations. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to present the Flinders Aurizn Artificial Intelligence Prize, awarded to the students who demonstrate the most novel and impactful use of #AI, machine learning, or predictive modelling, alongside a deep understanding of AI and machine learning principles. It was great to interact with so many talented students and explore a wide range of cutting-edge projects. Congratulations to the two deserving winners! We can’t wait to return next year and continue supporting the bright minds shaping the future of AI and #technology.

Last week, Lucy Daly, Mark McDonnell and Brett Schmerl attended the University of Adelaide's Ingenuity event, where we awarded the inaugural #Aurizn Artificial Intelligence Prize for the most innovative use of AI methodologies.   Final year #STEM students presented their projects, and we recognised a standout project on "Multi-modal disease classification" using #AI to identify arthritis in X-ray images. It was a great opportunity to connect with talented individuals and see familiar Aurizn faces showcasing their work. Well done to everyone involved, and we look forward to coming again next year!

AUSA 2024 - Washington DC. What a show! 🎉 There is no doubt that the Association of the United States Army - AUSA knows how to put on a great event - three pavilions across two floors at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. #Aurizn was proud to be part of the Team Defence Australia delegation this year. We had a tremendously busy three days of meetings with primes, peers, and partners, sharing news of our diverse portfolio of capability offerings and our expansion activities into the US National Security ecosystem. Special thanks to our Austrade and Team Defence Australia friends who work tirelessly to make it a productive time for the delegates, as well as Steve Hyjek and Cade Groton from Baker Donelson, who have been instrumental in assisting with key stakeholder engagements in Washington during the event. The fourth day featured the G’Day USA industry dialogue, bringing the community together to discuss key issues around export control and partnerships critical for the ongoing health and well-being of the international Defence industry. The day concluded with a networking event at the Australian Embassy, a beautiful new building showcasing some of the best native art and materials from the Australian region. Building Stronger Partnerships in the National Security Sector 🤝 As part of #Aurizn’s international growth strategy, we were pleased to host a group of US delegates at our cocktail socialiser on Monday, 14th October, in partnership with Baker Donelson in Washington DC. This event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with key stakeholders and discuss our future plans. Aurizn’s CEO, Brett Sangster, delivered an insightful speech about our strategic expansion initiatives and the importance of partnerships in the region. He emphasised how these collaborations are crucial as we set the agenda for key activities over the next 6-18 months. A special thanks to the Baker Donelson team, particularly Steve Hyjek, who has been instrumental in assisting the Aurizn team with key stakeholder engagements across industry and government within the US National Security sector. Their support has been invaluable in helping us navigate this dynamic landscape. Recently, #Aurizn employees had the opportunity to participate in the P8-Pull charity event at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This event, organised by the Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill, brought together 18 teams to compete in pulling a P8 Poseidon aircraft the furthest and fastest, all in support of Legacy.    We are proud to have been part of this inaugural event, which not only showcased the strength and #teamwork of all participants but also raised funds for a worthy cause.    Attending Aurizn employees included: David Dalton, Clayton Kingham, Todd Scholz, Ganen Ganeswaran, Lee Blucher, Nick Cooper, Mike Holmes, Benjamin Slimming, Lance Holden and David Brook.

We at #Aurizn are excited to share our new collaboration with Macquarie University and BluGlass Limited (ASX: BLG) on the development of advanced LiDAR-based systems for environmental sensing applications. This partnership builds on our established capabilities in Synthetic Test & Evaluation and Critical Technologies, as key enablers to innovate and accelerate electro-optic sensor technologies. For several years, we have been working closely with the Commonwealth to design and apply LiDAR systems that enhance situational awareness and environmental monitoring. Our expertise in this area complements our #InfiniteStudio product, which has been instrumental in developing and analyzing the performance of various active and passive optical systems. Our collaboration with Macquarie and BluGlass not only leverages our extensive experience in optical system design and application but also provides an opportunity to explore new applications for this technology across different environmental and #Defence use cases.
