🌟 A jam-packed tour across our Adelaide sites for the 2024 WorldSkills Program! 🌟 Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting 10 talented apprentices on a skills tour in Adelaide as part of the Australian Skills Excellence Forum for this year's WorldSkills program. The day's activities offered participants a unique insight into the cutting-edge technology at our Edinburgh Parks facility and the Osborne Naval Shipyard. Partnering with WorldSkills Australia is part of our commitment to supporting the future industry workforce. ♻️ Every Can Counts! 🥫♻️ 🌍 Sustainability and community giving collide with our Cans for Cancer initiative ♻️🎗️ Our well hydrated employees at the Osborne shipyard have been placing their empty cans and bottles into the marked recycling bins in an effort to not only reduce our waste but to also raise funds for those fighting cancer. 💪 Earlier this year we presented the National Cancer Foundation Australia with a cheque valued at $4,875.07💰💰 We are pleased to announce that our company is matching that donation to double the impact made by our employees. 🤑 This is a simple initiative with more than one benefit and one we plan to continue at Osborne. 🎗️♻️

Meet Kayla 👋 Having recently joined the Hunter Class Frigate Program as part of the ROAM Rotation program as a Manufacturing Officer, Kayla will spend the next 2.5 years learning the ins and outs of shipbuilding! The program will see Kayla and the rest of her cohort rotate through a multitude of functions, from Manufacturing Engineering to Supply Chain, which will equip them with skills that will last their entire careers. Adelaide’s Lot Fourteen innovation precinct continues to grow, with Swedish manufacturer MCT Brattberg setting up a local presence to provide essential parts for the Hunter class frigates. MCT Brattberg specialises in the manufacture of sealings for cables and pipes. Its new South Australia operations will supply electrical cable transit frames and deck-head and bulk-head glands for the first batch of three Hunter class frigates. Together, we are delivering world-class capabilities to the Royal Australian Navy and driving advancements in maritime engineering.
