Our Regional Managers for South West NSW Nicola James and Greater Melbourne Jack Hayes hosted a group of manufacturers from the Riveria and Murray region in Melbourne. The field trip included visits to companies leading the way in the #manufacturing sector, showcasing their fantastic research projects and advancements. Along the way, they learnt what it takes for manufacturing leader Sutton Tools Pty Ltd to make 2 million drill bits every month!
AusIndustry led a delegation of manufacturers from the Riverina and Murray regions to Melbourne to check out the latest research projects at the Swinburne University of Technology Advanced Manufacturing and Design Centre, where we saw the 3D concreting lab, Robotics lab and the immersive experience in the Factory of the Future lab. Digitisation integration was key to day 2, where leading manufacturers from Albury, Griffith and Wagga had a tour of Integra Systems & Integra TransForm an innovative SME leading the way in fully integrated digitisation with their IntegraK4.0 kiosks that they developed themselves. Followed by a tour of Sutton Tools Pty Ltd, a 100 year old global company specializing in precision engineering superior drill bits, taps and milling.
